Launched on Sep. 9, 2017, Voxi is a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) that piggybacks on another carrier’s network rather than using its own mobile infrastructure. Unlike some MVNOs that operate separately from the network source, Voxi is owned by Vodafone U.K and uses the Vodafone network.Voxi initially sold SIM only plans exclusively to customers under the age of 25. The age limit rose to under 30s in 2018 before the limit was removed completely in April 2019. Voxi now sells not just SIM only plans, but phones on contract and unlocked SIM free as well. This makes Voxi, as a company, less than two years old. Since it’s an MVNO, it hasn’t experienced many of the teething problems that a full network might. Vodafone U.K., its parent, is one of the U.K.’s longest running|
VOXI – Moneyhub collaboration capabilities and objectives
Initially, Vodafone partnered with Moneyhub in April 2022 to improve its VOXI For Now plan and help those experiencing financial hardship stay connected. At that time, the plan was set to offer unlimited 5G mobile data, minutes, and texts for GBP 10 per month, for up to six months, to anyone claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance, Disability Allowance, Personal Independent Payment, Employment, and Support Allowance, and employment-based Universal Credit.
Currently, Moneyhub’s technology enables users to connect their different accounts, including current, savings, mortgages, pensions, credit cards, investments, and properties, among others, to one dashboard and visualise all their finances in one place. Customers can leverage a suite of tools to support them in understanding their money and reaching their financial goals such as Spending Budgets, Spending Analysis, Savings Goals, Rent Recognition, as well as a range of educational content. Representatives from VOXI expressed their enthusiasm over being able to provide customers with free access to Moneyhub’s financial management app, enabling them with a simple and convenient method of understanding and managing their financial situation. By merging this initiative with VOXI for Now, the company intends to advance and solidify its commitment to supporting young individuals to navigate the current economic environment.
Furthermore, officials from Moneyhub stated that consumers require simple and accessible ways to manage their finances that focus on supporting their financial wellness. By offering access to the Moneyhub app via VOXI Drop, VOXI aims to help its customers embed healthier money habits and have a better understanding of their finances. VOXI provides contract-free plans that allow individuals to leverage selected social and video apps in the UK without using general data allowance. Since its launch in 2019, VOXI Drop has been providing customers with exclusive rewards every month from well-known brands
VOXI’s Phoney Phone Case Gives a Reprieve from Overwhelming Family Obligations
Vodafone youth brand, VOXI Mobile, has launched a playful new campaign to introduce ‘Phoney Cases’, a range of phone cases cleverly designed to give you a reprieve from the often-overwhelming number of family obligations this festive season. The campaign is the latest instalment of VOXI Mobile’s ‘The Fun Never Ends’ brand platform, launched in June 2023.
Created by AMV BBDO, ‘Phoney Cases’ was inspired by social listening, which revealed that Christmas can leave young adults desperate for an escape from family related activities when returning back home for the festive period.
VOXI Mobile’s answer is simple: stay connected and make the most of the holiday downtime with a ‘Phoney Case’ and one of its Unlimited Social Media plans. These clever decoys allow you to covertly scroll while dodging the family quiz or that obligatory karaoke session.
First in the range is the ‘Baby’ case, designed to make it look like you’re holding a baby, but helping you scroll unnoticed, because no one would interrupt you when you’re ‘taking care of one’. Other case designs include the ‘Plaster Cast’ case, ideal for pretending you’re injured to get out of festivities and the ‘Revision Book’ case – perfect for pretending to study while checking your feed instead.
Why is VOXI so cheap?
Prices on mobile networks vary, but in general VO XI is one of the cheaper options. Not only that, it’s also specifically cheaper than Vodafone, which is notable because it’s run by Vodafone.
So why is VOXI so cheap? And how can Vodafone afford to undercut its own network? There are four key reasons, and you’ll find these below.
Latest Voxi Sim-only Deals & Contracts
When looking to get your phone on a new contract, the real decision is whether or not you go the whole hog or opt for a SIM-only deal. SIM-only plans are quickly growing in popularity largely due to people loving the phone they have and not wanting to get rid of it, as well as the range of fantastic SIM-only deals that are on the market. With only a small monthly cost and not such a big commitment as a contract, it’s great if you either can’t decide what to do, want to wait before purchasing a new phone outright or if you are happy with the phone you’ve got. Powered by Vodafone’s award-winning mobile network, they call themselves the Mobile Network with unlimited Social Media meaning if you’re someone that loves to scroll, click and like then you’re in luck! Not only this, but all of the plans on the VOXI mobile network last for just 30 days before rolling over. This means you don’t need to worry about being tied down to any long-term contracts or commitments and if you find the plan isn’t for you, you can leave without any obligations.
Voxi alternatives
GiffGaff and iD Mobile are Voxi’s closest competitors in the budget monthly plan space. Neither offer the exclusive “Endless Social Media” that Vo xi does, however, iD allows you to keep data that you don’t use for the next month. GiffGaff’s perk is that you can buy a phone on contract without a SIM plan.
Mainstream carriers, namely Three, EE and O2, don’t offer anywhere near the value of the aforementioned MVNOs. For the money, Vo xi and iD Mobile seem to be the top dogs, but Vo xi does take the edge thanks to its “Endless Social Media” perk.
