Due to the sheer number of different retailers that Quidco works with, there’s no definitive timescale for when members are guaranteed to receive their cashback payments.
However, Quidco does guarantee that it will inform its members of the expected payout duration for each retailer so users can always know when to expect their hard-earned rewards.
How do I use Quidco?
Before you sign up, check for welcome deals that offer a bonus on your first purchase. We list the best ones here.
Once signed up, click on the retailer you want to shop with, and Quidco will track your purchase. It’s vital to close down browser windows for those retailers first and clear your cookies so that tracking from Quid co to the retailer works efficiently.
Once Qui dco receives confirmation of your purchase, the retailer pays them a commission, which Quidco passes on to you as cashback.
But be warned: It’s not always a quick process, and it can take months for the cashback to appear.
How does Quidco work?
Quidco tracks your online purchases and gives you cashback as a percentage of what you spend with this online retailer. However, if you buy through Quidco, some of the money you pay will be returned.
It is straightforward, and Qu idco has made getting your money back easy. When you open an account with Quidco, you can view all the brands and retailers with which they are partnered. With thousands of retailers and brands available, you’ll likely receive cashback on desired items.
For example, if you’re looking for a new phone deal, you can see who Qu idco is partnered with, including Vodafone Mobile, Tesco Mobile, O2 Mobile, Three Mobile, etc. You can then view the cashback rate for each.
O2’s deal with Qui dco is 3% or up to £100 cashback. So you could earn £3 for every £100 spent on selected deals or get £100 back on other deals from O2. The same goes for different retailers. Currys offers up to 16.5% cashback, Argos up to 6.6%, and Manchester Airport up to 20%.
When you click on any of these retailers through Quidco, Quidco and the retailer place cookies on your device. These cookies enable the retailer to identify who to pay, allowing Quidco to provide you with cashback.
Things to be aware of
Although your sale usually tracks in your QuidCo account after a couple of days, it can take months for the cash to be paid to Quid Co. Your best bet is to let it mount up and look forward to a big fat payout at the end of the year.
Also, make sure your browser supports cookies. Without them, your sales will not be tracked.
Finally, think ahead when shopping online, and ask yourself, “Is this seller on Qui dCo?” Even if it’s just for a CD through Play.com or a vast insurance policy from MORETH>N, it’s always worth checking (I had £75 from MORETH>N to insure the contents of my flat).
If you’re still wondering what’s in it for merchants, Qu idCo itself sums up the arrangement best: “It enables the merchant to reach a large base of motivated, savvy buyers, and it enables you to get back big savings by buying from merchants who participate in the model.”
It’s a win-win situation. With your free money, you can get yourself a free lunch. Or you can order one online and get cash back for it via Q uidco.
Quidco Review: Getting Started with Quidco
Signing up to Quidco is very easy. Once you sign up, Qui dco will automatically start monitoring the websites where members browse, checking for any new offers.
Qu idco usually approves all purchases within a few hours of buying your products online, but make sure you go through the Qu idco link before you buy, or you won’t get created with the cashback purchase.
Quidco also emails you when deals or cashback are available. If you think cashback deals are available on your purchases, Qu idco will offer you a Qui dco Mini.
The Qu idco minis will appear from the Q uidco homepage and show any purchases that Qu idco thinks may be eligible for cashback.
Is there anything else we should know about Quidco?
There are a couple of things you should know. There are two Qui dco levels of service: Standard and Premium. To have the Premium service, you pay £5 a year from the cashback you earn. Other than this, my Quidco is free. When we signed up, there was only one level of service with the £5 fee, and recently, they introduced the standard free service. The Premium service offers you Faster Paying Retailers, Premium Quidcare Support, No Sponsored Advertising, and Bespoke promotions & loyalty bonuses. It would say that it is worth the £5 a year, and you won’t even notice you’re paying it.
Earn cashback from Quidco when you plan your next holiday.
